For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD. Isaiah 55:8 New International Version
During the New Year Chinese like to have tangerine trees in their apartments because the tangerines represent good luck.
When they throw the trees out at the end of the season I like to collect the tangerines to use for juice, potpourri and the pulp for bread.
One morning I felt a deep urge to stair walk. I sometimes walk down twenty flights of stairs and back up again for exercise. I thought God wanted me to collect tangerines from the trees that were thrown out.
During the exercise there was some beautiful paintings in the stair well someone who had moved out and thrown out. They were gladly taken back to my apartment to replace some photos on the wall that had grown old and worn out. That saved me money.
When I moved in an agreement was signed that anything worn out I would have to replace. Those paintings would have to be replaced at my expense.
God works like that in our lives sometimes.
We are looking for this while He is blessing us with that.
Sometimes we think God is directing us to get tangerines, but really is giving us paintings.
That has happened so many times in my walk with God. I think God has a wonderful sense of humour.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God our provider) for the wonderful ways in which You graciously and unusually bless us. I give thanks in Your most special blessing Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sweet sunshine of Jesus' precious love bless you today and every day.
