Not many should become teachers,
Rather look at being preachers;
Judgment can be very severe,
If you are really not sincere.
All of us make many mistakes,
In anything that one partakes;
So if we speak are we perfect,
Freely say as the tongues inflict.
Bits are in the mouth of a horse,
To obey and remain on course;
The same for rudders of the ships,
So we may need it for the lips.
As for the tongue it is the same,
Anytime we brag to proclaim;
For it is not always big things,
Snide remarks that infliction brings.
All it takes is a little flame,
To set the fire by a name;
Then Satan with his burning touch,
Sets ablaze the forest as such.
An evil world for many parts,
Of the body and our hearts;
Causing a burn with a fire,
That releases some desire.
We have tamed many creatures,
But the tongue has many features;
Evil filled with deadly poison,
Not changed after damage is done.
We give the Father our praise,
With loud voices as we will raise;
But then we will go out and curse,
Other people in the next verse.
