Many people reject the Bible even when they have never read it, but in this amazing book there are all sorts of fascinating facts about human nature, facts that are interesting for all. If there is a book that perfectly describes our behavior, thoughts and intentions, it is the Bible. So, here are just a few examples for your enjoyment:

A) Have you noticed that  you can’t do the good you want to, and you end up doing the bad things you hate to do? Like when you try to be patient with someone and end up yelling at them? Are you a slave to your bad habits? It happened to the Apostle Paul as well. Read his words of frustration in this passage:

For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. (Romans 7: 18-19)

B) Now take a look at how vividly the Bible describes the attitude of a lazy man:

How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber. A little folding of the hands to sleep—So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, and your need like an armed man. (Prov. 6: 8-21)

C) Have you ever thought about the brevity of life? Like when you saw a friend yesterday, and today He is gone? Read this:

Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. (James 4:14)

D) If you like to drink alcohol and party a lot you may identify with this passage:

Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaints? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? Those who linger long at the wine, those who go in search of mixed wine. Do not look on the wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it swirls around smoothly; at the last it bites like a serpent, and stings like a viper. Your eyes will see strange things, and your heart will utter perverse things. Yes, you will be like one who lies down in the midst of the sea, or like one who lies at the top of the mast, saying: “They have struck me, but I was not hurt; They have beaten me, but I did not feel it. When shall I awake, that I may seek another drink?”

E) The description of the adulteress fits with reality perfectly!

Understanding will keep you, to deliver you from the way of evil… to deliver you from the immoral woman, from the seductress who flatters with her words, who forsakes the companion of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God. (Prov 2: 12-17)

F) If you have a friend who enjoys doing foolish things, compare him to this passage:

It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding has wisdom. (Prov. 10:23)

G) Do you want to know how to keep your friends, and how a true friend really is? Read this:

A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Prov. 18:24)

H) Do you want a perfect description of the people of our time and age?

There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open tomb; with their tongues they have practiced deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known. (Romans 3: 10-17)

I) Have you ever thought about the futility of worrying?

Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

J) Has it ever occurred to you in the middle of the night how monotonous and vain life is?

“Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher; vanity of vanities, all is vanity.” What profit has a man from all his labor in which he toils under the sun? One generation passes away, and another generation comes;
but the earth abides forever. The sun also rises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it arose. The wind goes toward the south, and turns around to the north; the wind whirls about continually, and comes again on its circuit… All things are full of labor; man cannot express it. That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1: 1-9)

The purpose of the Bible is clear: That you may know the God who loves you and that you can see yourself as you really are, so you can be saved from eternal damnation by Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The Bible is a historical account of things that really happened. Real places, real people, real events and ideas fill the pages of the Bible. Within its pages the wisdom of God awaits you!
