God is love. God loves people. Nothing moves the heart of God than humankind. All of us are loved, precious and treasured by Him. To fully grasp how valued and cherished we are by Him; there are a few things about God we need to constantly remember. He is Almighty, the creator of heaven and earth, the majestic, all-knowing highly exalted God clothed in amazing glory beyond our human understanding and imagination. He is so awesome that He has no beginning and He has no end!
You know even in this age of advanced technology and scientific advancement, God is still God in unsurpassed splendour and wisdom. Anything that we hold in awe of and whatever we regard as the height of human intelligence or creation; God has to humble himself to behold that! Psalm 116 vs 5-6 reads “Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?” It blows my mind when God Himself declares in Acts 7 v 49 that “Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool.” This is the heaven which we highly esteem, and this earth we live in with all its attractions and beauty is his footstool! He says He rests His foot on it. Despite all this, what God really wants is a close relationship with you and I. He wants to love, fellowship, and reveal to you the individual plan and purpose He has for your life.
God loves you more than anybody else is capable of loving you. Not even the love from your family, friends, partner or spouse can come close to the way He loves you. None of these people can lay down their life for you especially when you least deserve it! But God did. He so loved us that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to save us so that we can live. He took our sin upon Himself on the cross and died a painful and humiliating death so that through Him, you and I may become righteous. His love is so deep and it never changes, it is not dependent on what we do but on what Jesus did. He endured the suffering because He knew we were worth saving, and worth having a relationship with God. He saw us from what we could become in Him. By His grace He saved us and gave us the gift of everlasting life.
Do you know God knew and loved you before you were even born? Way before your father met your mother He already knew all about you and had designed a specific plan, purpose and destiny for your life. Despite the circumstances of anyone's birth, nobody is a mistake in God’s eyes. If you were conceived out of unfortunate circumstances, I urge you in the name of Jesus not to carry that shame and burden anymore. You are equally precious and vaIued by God. You may have come as a surprise to people but you were predestined by God! You didn't surprise Him. I love Psalm 139 vs 15- 16, it says “My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” There is absolutely no one who can know and love you the way He does! Indeed you are His treasured child, only He was watching over you during those early days in the womb before your mother even knew you were there! That's amazing love at the highest level possible.
Many people struggle to find their value, worth and purpose in life. Others carry burdens and labels from the past. They allow their weaknesses, failures, other people’s perceptions of them to shape their lives thus limit themselves and miss out on their God given destinies. God loves you too much He wants you to break free from that bondage and receive His love. Did you know you are ALWAYS on His mind? The Almighty, Supreme God who created everything including the stars, and named each and everyone of them constantly thinks about you because He cares for you deeply. This is what David says in Psalm 139 vs 17-18 "How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of the sand. When I awake, I am still with you." God declares in Jeremiah 29 vs 11 that " For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
God wants to have a personal relationship with each and every one of us. He made us unique and gave us fingerprints that are different from those of any other person in the planet. This is because to Him all of us are special, we are not just a number or another being occupying the earth. He wants us to discover our purpose here on earth, to realise our full potential in a way only He can make possible, and He wants us to live fulfilled satisfying lives that positively impact on others. God told Jeremiah in chapter 1 vs 5 that "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
I do not know what plans God has for your individual life, neither do I know what He appointed you to be, but I do know that He knew you, loved you, and designed a specific plan for your life before you were born. Our lives were never meant to be chaotic, haphazard, destructive or meaningless. Paul tells us that" For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will,"Ephesians 1 vs 4-5. I pray that you realise daily how much God loves you, how precious and valued you are to Him. A life that is satisfying and worth living is found in Him alone. I encourage you to read my book "Realise the Power of Your Christian Identity." God bless you!
