If you are a lucky man like me, and savor the sweetness of life,
It’s probably because you also have a very special wife.
This special lady is honest, and says what’s on her mind.
But very deep within her, is a heart that is loving and kind.
My wife is very special, and makes my days a blessing,
Not only do they have routine, but also window dressing.
She challenges me to see and love, what nature doth provide,
And to daily commune with my God, while watching life’s beauty outside.
Now February provides, a special day once each year,
To honor this special angel, who I truly hold precious and dear.
Oh it’s not the candy and flowers, which she truly wants as a gift,
Just all of my love and devotion, which gives her a special lift.
Oh Lord, please know I thank you, for giving my wife to me,
And for the love and devotion, which she shares with me endlessly.
Oh, of course we have minor moments, of disagreement and strife,
But they are short lived and always end, by sharing a kiss with my wife.
So in the spirit of Saint Valentine, I will take this moment to say,
To my wife, I will always love you, as I’m especially reminded this day.
And as we grow feeble and older, it won’t be a problem for me,
‘Cause as long as I have you by my side, I’ll remain feeling lively and free.
