I’ve a got a good job, and I make decent pay.
I’ve got a beautiful wife to come home to each day.
My children are special, my time with them grand,
But I long to see Jesus and that Heavenly Strand.
I’ve traveled this world wide I’ve seen it’s great sites,
I’ve beheld it’s glitter and shinning bright lights.
I’ve tasted it’s dainties and pleasures so fine,
But I long for the Mansion Jesus said would be mine.
What a pleasure on Sunday God’s People to greet,
To be in this fellowship oh what a treat,
The message is up lifting, the music so sweet,
But I long just to set at my Dear Saviors Feet.
What I’m trying to say is though my feet’s here on earth,
My minds fixed on Heaven, for it has a far greater worth.
And when Jesus comes back to catch His Bride away,
I want to be ready for that Most Blessed Day.
Dear friends are you ready? It could be today,
It takes faith in Jesus, there’s just no other way.
So when the Bible says: the dead and the living,
Are caught up into the air,
And so shall we ever be with the Lord, you’ll be there.
