I had a few moments this morning while waiting on an appointment. As I sat in my truck,ipod on shuffle, Rita Springer's "I have to believe" hit my soul like a jackhammer. 

"I have to believe that He sees my darkness. I have to believe He knows my pain
I have to lift up my hands to worship, worship his Name"

"I have to declare that He is my Refuge I have to deny that I am alone
I have to lift up my eyes to the mountain, that's where my help comes from"

Now, I don't expect that this will impact everyone the same as it did me; I believe it was a rhema word for me - a right now word that the Holy Spirit slipped into my spirit at just the right time. I'm always amazed at the gprace of the Holy Spirit. In the midst of our busy lives, I believe He goes out of His way to speak to us and convey His love and care.

Maybe you can use a word of encouragement today. Perhaps circumstances have brought you to a place of weariness. Every good soldier of the Lord gets tired of the fight now and then. Perhaps, too, I'm only writing out of a need for catharsis. In any case, I offer the chorus as a final word of comfort:

"He said that He's forever faithful. He said that He's forever true.
He said that He can move mountains, He can move my mountain, He can move your mountain  too."

Sometimes when the battle grows long - when the doctor's report remains bleak - when it seems like you'll never find a job - when your checkbook continually mocks you - you just have to believe. I just have to believe: Our God is faithful.
