A glory story is a true account of something that only God
could have done. You may also want to refer to Glory Story 1 (10/9/12).
I would not be able to work for at least 2 months due to an ankle operation. My workmen's compensation was going to be only two-thirds of my income and I had nothing saved up.
My attitude was that because God knew this would happen(nothing takes Him by surprise), I assumed He had a plan to take care of me financially. I had already received help from family members for the first month, but I had been praying that God would lay it on someone's heart to provide without asking for help. I did nothing more than make the need known. I also had claimed out loud several Bible verses every day for about a week, having to do with God's provision.
A few days later I got $100 in the mail from someone in my church. About a week later I got some more money from an anonymous person in my church. This time it was for, WOW, $1000. Isn't God awesome?! This was enough to help carry me through with all obligations paid.
Spiritual moral of the story: When you have a need make it known, lay hold of the promises in God's Word, then have an attitude of expecting God to act.
However I must confess that I was angry at first because finally, after a long time, I had gotten a full time job just 2 months prior to this and was just beginning to get on track with my finances. God understood my anger and still remained faithful to His promises.
