But do we believe God will need our needs and provide for us in terms of Matthew 6:33? “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
In the book of Daniel there are two examples of people who believed God in the tough times. Perhaps we would have been less bold and prayed in some dark corner but such was Daniel’s faith that he continued to pray in the same way as he had done before. Daniel believed God would meet his need.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into the firey furnace because they refused to bow down to an idol. They believed God was able to save them and even if He didn’t they said, “We will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold”. They also believed God.
The challenge to us is, “Do we believe God, or do we just believe in God?
