It makes for cliffhanger moments upon the silver screen. The hero feels the ground shaking beneath his feet as an earthquake terrorizes the populace. A widening fault in the earths’ crust puts the man in a precarious position. Wide-eyed, munching morsels of popcorn we see the leading man straddle the widening gap. Will our man of the hour stand in the gap?
As I read the headlines, I discern an ever-widening gap between the Creator and man. Man is greedy, distorts God’s word, and oppresses the vulnerable. (Ezekiel 22:28-29) “And I sought a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none (Ezekiel 22:30 Amplified Bible).”
