It was such a beautiful day and I felt kinda guilty afterwards that I didn't get out in it. There was so much I had to do or thought I had to do, with a little rest in between, but no time for a walk around the lake, to sit a spell in the sunshine, or pause in the yard and feel the sunbeams on my face, or hear the twittering of the sparrows. (Twitter will never replace that any more than a laptop can replace crawling onto a real lap.)  But, no i had so much to do or thought i did, and, by golly, i did it!  I got it done.  But at what cost? The particular beauty that was there then is gone now and won't return. I tell myself, even promise myself, next time next day like that (though it can never be quite like that) I'll make a point to enjoy it twice as much!  That's what I'll do.
