I can’t express the sorrow in my spirit when 20 lives were lost due to an uncontrollable act of violence. We will never know why this country exploits violence. The passion of which rips my conscience between two humanities. The humanity to lust after its awareness presences in politics, law, sport, governance, and business. In addition, to deny the presences of a supreme being greater than one-self.
How is it not to understand if you gain the whole world, you lose your soul (spirit)? If you only care for the desires of this world (trying of be somebody than being about something, i.e. Love, Peace, and Godlike) you will die. Take the cyclist. Why did he lie? He said, “I had a sense of entitlement.” What does that mean? He wanted to keep the mist flowing and surround his fame. (The mist: The presence that people believe your value exceeds the norm) Glory to God this incident did not take lives with an assault weapon. However, one’s self absorbency is just as dangerous as shooting an assault weapon.
To change culture, is to change the environment that surrounds it. If culture resists change, the environment remains the same. I speak to the culture of humanities spirit. The desire of humanities is the lust of the flesh. The cyclist wanted the mist to remain in his life, so it lied. Bankers desire more money, so they create new fees, preachers, desire larger congregation so they prolong the churches building fund. The media portrays all of humanities wants and desires at the sake of humanities destruction. People ask what is wrong with humanity. Haven’t you learned from pass history that selfish ambition is a character flaw?
To gain the world and lose your soul is an issue most people in this human incarnation struggle with daily. I know I do. If you were not aware of this struggle, you have been sleepwalking through your life. Matthew 6:19 states,” Lay not up for you treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal. But layup treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust does consume and where thieves do not bread through nor steal.” For the most part this reading of Matthew relates to tithing. Also, it refers to seek and please God not only in our giving but also in fulfilling God’s purposes in all we do.
As we start this New Year, I hope more people will look within their spirit and change how they perceive themselves and others. Not be fearful or hatred for anything God created and move to a spirit of Peace and Love for all. The time is now for all humanity to look to God for help in leading the life for his purpose, not yours. We are not living for the Government, Media, Gun Lobby, Preachers, and your fear my fear or any other fleshly purpose. We live for the purpose of God. With that said, this year you should commit yourself to live right. For the Lord our God is with us. His longsuffering in patience for us to change our lifestyle now is every present.
Go in Peace.
