In an article called 'Unique', I mentioned going outside to look at the leaves, noticing that they are all different from each other. Now as you check them again, it may soon be apparent that there are changes happening. Autumn is coming or fall, as in seeing the leaves fall from the trees, in preparation for winter time. If you live in a northern climate, it means that it is getting colder at night. You can see these changes and know the season, can't you? If you are in a more tropical climate, perhaps those changes are more gradual but still you can detect the differences not only in weather but also in the season of things.
It's possible to see seasons of the spirit as well. God has given us, in print, the ability to see those changes and seasons. He promised us that. He tells us that there is a time for everything under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-9, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."
We must learn to understand these times and seasons because there is a danger in not heeding the warnings. All over the scriptures, if you are willing to seek them out, are warnings of changes that are about to or already occurring right now. If we do not heed these warnings, we will NOT be ready for Jesus returning as He said He would. We are told that we can know these times and seasons.
Luke 12:40-43, "Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all? And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing."
None but the Father knows exactly when Jesus will be back in the manner in which He left. However, we are given clues and signs to guide our path in seeking knowledge of these events. But first, we have to make up our minds to be diligent in watching, diligent in seeking the Lord while He may be found, being READY for the soon and glorious return of our Lord. Most important of all, we want to be anticipating His return. What a glorious, marvelous day that will be. It is most difficult to wait, yet we must, because there are those who will be coming into the family and we must not miss them. For that reason, each of us has been given a task by the Lord. No matter who you are, no matter what you do, you have been told of the Lord to do this.
Mark 16:15-16, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
Most folks pay little attention to this scripture. They say things like 'but I'm not a preacher. I can't talk to anyone like they do. I have no idea how to witness. My best bet is to let the pros handle that part. My family would throw me out for that!' Have you said or thought these things or other thoughs similar to this? Did you know that God's call is without repentance (Romans 11:29)?
What does THAT mean? God is telling you that when He places a task upon your heart, He expects and EQUIPS you to do the job, whether you think you are capable or not. I know this to be true. As an over-the-road trucker, it never occurred to me to even think of teaching or preaching in any form. When my friends and I began a trucker's ministry, we believed that the man who had already been a preacher in the past, would be our upfront guy. His wife and I were just there for support and doing the daily jobs of a ministry. No way!! In time, God started to show me things that I must tell others. In this case, it brought me to a place I didn't want to be (at first), a teacher. 'There is NO WAY, GOD! Did you hear that? I said, there is no way I am going to stand in front of people and say any of this.' It's absolutely amazing how the Lord can change your mind in such things. He does not MAKE you do anything. My Father is a gentleman. But over time, I soon noticed that sermons and teachings were coming into my head and my heart, things I just had to say or I would burst. At some point, it turned into FUN! God never told us that our job would be something we would hate.
God is calling you, Believer. He is telling you that it is now time to get on with your job. And deep down in your heart, you know this. It isn't a mistake that you are reading this particular article right now. He knew that you would. Let me ask you this. Is there a neighbor, a boss, a friend, or family member that isn't saved? At any time, has it occurred to you to share your faith with them? If so, that was God urging you to do what you are called to do. If this has never happened to you, perhaps it's now time to ask why it has not happened. When you are born again, God changes you. You become a 'new creation in Christ' (2 Corinthians 5:17 ). Get ahold of that for a moment. You are NEW, the old is gone. Please remember that this is a spiritual event so if you are expecting immediate changes in your attitude and your current circumstance, it could happen but more often, He guides you into how to live your life slowly and carefully, just as if you were in school, learning things at your personal pace.
In all of this, your faith is being built up IF you are diligent to study and pray, seek out other believers, and sit under anointed teaching. Then, at some point, you start to feel the need to share what you know with others. Why? Because we have compassion for them and do not want to see them go to hell! Frankly, I don't want to see my worst human enemy in hell. That place was NOT build for us, but for the devil and his own. God never intended that any of His creation should be lost. But He gave us choice. We are not puppets. Have you noticed that many times the choices we make would have been better left unmade? It's that way with those who choose not to seek Jesus.
What is all this about anyway? I said it's harvest time. This is the season when the farmers bring in the crops, removing the weeds and unusable chaff. And just as it is with the farmer, it is God's harvest time, His due season. Your child, parents, family, neighbors, boss, spouse are in danger of being left behind when Jesus comes. I encourage you to seek God's Face today, asking Him what you are called to do. He will rejoice with you!
If you are reading this and have not come to salvation, haven't asked Jesus into your heart, please do consider it now. Tell Him that you are sorry for your sins and ask Him into your heart. He is waiting for you. Thank Him! He died on that cross for YOU, child. He doesn't want to see you hurt anymore.

Good word. I remember years ago when someone asked me if I knew when Jesus would return. I said,"Yes." they then asked me if I knew when I was going to die. I said, "Yes." Then I explained that Jesus would return when "ye think not." So I live my life as if Jesus will return this year, this month, this week, this day, this hour, this minute, and this second. Therefore I do not ever think He is not comming back right now. even as I respond to you, I think He is comming. I do however, pray for Him to prolong His return for the sake of those that do not know what He has done for them. And about my death? I am not going to leave this tent untill I have finish what God has chosen me to do. When I finish my race, I will take up permanent residency beyond the throne. I wish they would put spell check on faithwriters.
