God is my mahout;
I have everything I need.
He lets me rest by the banana trees.
He leads me into refreshing rivers
where he renews my strength with
splashes of water.
He guides me along right trails,
bringing honor to his name.
Even when I lumber through
the thickest jungle
I will not be afraid
for you ride atop my head.
Your bamboo stick and nudges
protect and comfort me.
You prepare bunches of bananas
for me amidst poisonous snakes.
You honor me by placing orchids
on my head.
My trunk overflows with blessings.
Surely goodness and unfailing love
will pursue me all the days of my life,
and I will live in the palace of the King
forever.
