WHO AM I?" "WHERE AM I GOING?" "WHY AM I DOING THIS?
From a secular point of view, these are important questions that you may ask yourself at various times throughout your life. The answers, which are significant life decisions, will determine what major you study in college, what kinds of jobs you take, what kind of employers you work for, who your friends are, who you marry, what your priorities are, etc. (Ecclesiastes 1:14)
While many spend a good deal of time and energy trying to answer these questions, most importantly is the divine meaning of our life (Ecclesiastes 12:13) and where we plan to spend eternity.( 2 Peter 3:13) ( Ephesians 1:3-8 )
We only have two eternal abodes, heaven or hell.( Joshua 24:15) Many a movie scrip has been written with play given to various fictitious versions of heaven and it's after effect on our lives. However, very little is given on the aspects of Hell., sad to say.
Is Hell a real place? If Hell is real, how can a loving God send people there? Is there escape from Hell even for people who have committed unconscionable crimes? These are all questions that can be answered in the Bible. Hell is not only described as a literal place, but the concept of Hell – eternal separation from God — is also explained as the wages of sin (Romans 6:23).
Actually, when Jesus taught on earth He taught more about Hell than Heaven. Hell is a place that many, even some Christians, refuse to believe,. However, because the Bible teaches about Hell we must believe it to be real and true. ( Matthew 16:18 ) ( Luke 16:23 ) ( James 3:16) ( Luke 16:24) ( 2 Peter 2:4 ) (Matthew 10:28 ) ( Revelation 14:11 ) ( Revelation 19:20 )
I realize that this subject of Hell, is not very popular in today's church societies. You see as a result of mans fall in the garden of Eden, ( Genesis 2:17) ( Genesis 3:1-5) ) all individuals are now born in sin and in need of redemption.( Romans 5:12 ) ( Romans 3:23) And no one can earn their way, pay their way or depend on a friend or relative to help get them into Heaven. It's just simply a matter of trusting Gods free gift by your faith. ( Ephesians 2:8-9 ) ( Titus 3:5 ) ( 2 Timothy 1:9 )
That's why God needed to reach mankind, by sending His Son Jesus ( John 3:16) to earth in the form of a human to died for the inbred sins of all mankind. If Jesus had not taken on the form of a human we would not have been able to relate to him, as He was a part of God's heavenly Trinity in Spirit form. ( John 4:24 ) ( 2 Cor 3:17)
Now one need only confess his/her sins before God, and by faith in what God has done, ask for forgiveness for their sins through Jesus Christ. It will instantly be done. ( Romans 10:9 ) If one fails to do this, within their life time, when they die instead of going to Heaven and being in the presence of God forever their body will go to the grave and their soul will live forever, tortured by the fire in a Devils Hell. ( 2 Peter 2:4 ) ( Revelation 14:11 ) ( 2 Thess 1:5-9 )
I know, you may say you don't believe in this religious nonsense. You may say when you get old you'll give Christianity a try. Or, you may have suffered hurt or disappointment in the past, by a relative or friend, who claimed to be a Christian. However, how many of your friends do you know who have suddenly left this world without warning ? (Ecclesiastes 9:12 ) Just put your hand on your chest and feel your heart beat. That's how close you are to eternity. You see, no one is promised a tomorrow. ( James 4:14)
Anyway, do you feel just because you don't believe, you can change the course of an almighty God's plan, and skip eternity ? ( Isaiah 30:1 )In other words, do you feel you can really override God's plan for the ages, the very God who simply spoke the universe in place ? ( Job42:2) What if you became a believer, and at the end the Bible was not so, what have you lost ? Compared to if you became a believer, and at the end the Bible was true, what then ? ( Revelation 19:20 ) ( Revelation 14:11 ) I guess one excuse is as good as another, when you don't believe," huh".
So, why not try this God, who everyone is talking about. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose . ( Jeremiah 29:11)
Once you have put your trust in Christ, never be ashamed of your Christianity ( Romans 1:16 ) ( Romans 8:31)
If you have trusted God, I ask that you do three important things.
Start reading your Bible. ( Psalms 119:11 ) ( 2 Timothy 3:16 )
Start attending a good Bible believing church. A church that preaches and teaches the full gospel. ( 1 Cor 15:1-4 ) ( Hebrews 10:25 )
And starting tell others what God has done for you.( Mark 16:15) ( 1 Peter 3:15) Amen.
