I Still Believe

It's been several years
since the walk began.
Sometimes we crawled, sometimes ran.

You always told me you would not leave.
I know there were times I made your heart grieve.

We often rejoiced, we often cried,
As parts of me grew and others died.

I had my doubts
I had my fears
You were there,
year after year.

Lord, the years are more than ten,
Yet , you are the same as you were then.

You still wisper,

"I'll never leave"

In my heart,

I still believe.
