Woke up in wonder at how deep are the depths of our unconscious selves. How little we really know and understand of our whole God-created selves! What we do have some grasp of is really only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. But God is also the God of the unconscious and especially as we commit that area to him. What a profound work the Holy Spirit has done in us and still seeks to do! But only as we soak increasingly in the quickening word of God and in His presence and in His praises and as truth enters more and more into our inward parts so as to truly govern the inner person's attitudes and outlooks and assumptions.(Psalm 51 v6) What a blessing to see infants and little ones in the sanctuary soaking up the presence of God along with the tenderness of the love of God felt there and expressed through His people. What might be possible in life with that kind of foundation! What WILL be possible! What already is! Not that there is not still the initial fallenness, but Oh to be spared those added primal juices in which we stew(ed). It is an immense advantage over the strife and discord that poisoned the early atmospheres of so many of us, and is now slowly but surely having to be overcome. Only a soaking can undo a soaking. Yet still great things are possible and even now are unfolding through the continual cleansing of the blood of our Savior and the soaking in the living waters shed abroad to renew ALL the mind and soul in a more constant fellowship like that within the Trinity Itself. (Who will go for us? Isaiah 6) The One who created the vast reaches of outer space also is the One who created and redeemed the vast reaches of our inner spaces for Himself.
