If you hear God speak today,
Adhere to what He will say;
Do not stray from any word,
Follow just as it is heard.
If given some time for rest,
God knows that you did your best;
With time to worship as well,
Praising in His house to dwell.
While you rest in His place,
You worship within His grace;
As you rest from your labor,
Fellowship with your neighbor.
Make an effort to enter,
Since Christ will be your mentor;
For guiding you on your way,
So that you do not go astray.
Then you will never be lost,
Since Jesus Christ paid the cost;
Be the example today,
For those who will disobey.
The Word of God is living,
And is also forgiving;
Sharper than a two edge sword,
Ever active as our Lord.
It cuts deep where the soul meets,
The spirit and where sin eats;
Away righteous purity,
Giving insecurity.
His Word judges inner thought,
Intentions what you have sought;
No creature can hide from God,
Or hide any place where flawed.
