Would I preach the Word,
if I knew, I'd be stoned
would I be so willing
if I knew, I'd be disowned?
Would I speak the Truth,
if I knew, I'd be killed
would I be so bold
if I knew, I'd be stilled?
Would I shine the Light,
if I knew, I'd be rejected
would I be so confident
if I knew, I'd be dejected?
Would I proclaim the Way,
if I knew, I'd be refused
would I be so convinced
if I knew, I'd be abused?
Is it worth the risk,
for me to say a word . . .
is it worth my life to share
the Good News I've heard?

Acts 7:58
King James Version
"And cast him out of the city,
and stoned him: and the witnesses
laid down their clothes at a young
man's feet, whose name was Saul."

Thank you very much Deborah for this poem, what an awakening message to all of us who are born again! Jesus disciples are good examples to look at, they sacrificed a lot for the sake of the Gospel, it is time we sing I pledge allegiance to the lamb of God... and live it. God bless you and keep up the good work.
