I come before you
As a long time ago, the magi did
I remember Caspar, Melchior & Balthazar
Their three fold gifts before you lay.
Frankincense a sign of your divinity
Gold to personify your royalty
Myrrh a bitter reminder of looming dread
Suffering written in the embalming oil.
I come before you
As the star rises in the east
Leading me to do you homage
O King of the three wise kings!
I have no gifts to place before you
I am neither a princess nor a queen
I have only my heart laden with love
To offer it all up to you.
I come before you
You are the royal star of wonder
The perfect light that sets us ablaze
The glorious king risen in the sky.
I come before you
Traversing through the desert of life
Seeking you as the wise men did
To finally reach you one day
Be rewarded with your presence for all time.
