“Queen Esther's Plight"
“No! No! No! Lord this cannot be!
Dear Father I must beseech thee.
Our enemies are close, closer than we think,
However they don't know about you, and our secret link.
They think us hopeless and without aid,
Lord I pray that you repay them due to what they paid!
Lord you are our God and we trust in you,
You are lovely, honest, and always true.
We must take hold of our faith and hold it dear,
For death and destruction feels so near.
Being Queen seems harder than need be,
Although I am Godly and you are always with me.
My uncle told me that I could have been made Queen for a time like this,
If this is my opportunity to help my people than I pray that I don't miss.
Lord I am but a mortal; small in body and weak in strength,
But you my God are the one I look to ,the only one I seek.
I will put my utmost trust in you,
Knowing that you will see me and my people through.
So, I will not be afraid to go before the King,
Strength, courage, and faith are the gifts I shall bring.
Although this may be the end of my life,
I am determined to be strong and endure the strife.
My final resolve is this: my life is not mine but is God's to use.
To pass up a chance for God to use me to help save my people? To that I refuse!
If it is God's will that I perish than I shall perish,
But it is His will that I truly cherish.”
