What if we go on now to change the paradigm? "....since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us.....looking unto Jesus the author of our faith... ("author" is the root word in the word "authority") '(Hebrews 12 v.1-20) I mean that we have been thinking appropriately about occupying enemy territory and taking the home crowd out of the game. Let's think for a moment as if we are on our home court or field and maybe there is a noisy contingent of visitors supporting the opposition, but they are doing so on OUR turf. God created all worlds and powers and principalities for Himself and, after they had been overrun through our neglect, then sent His own Son to die for our wrongdoing and rise again and reclaim them. Only one third of the angels rebelled and though thay are a noisy blustering one third and can make this seem like their home territory, we can begin to visualize by faith our advantage and stir up that powerful crowd of witnesses, as I see certain players do when they become cheerleaders momentarily and wave their arms and their towels(banners)and raise the decibels of enthusiasm(a word that literally means "in God")as surely as they possessed a little remote volume knob. Surely we have some knobs to turn of our own through thanksgiving, praise and worship and authoritative warfare, binding evil and loosing good in its place(Ephesians 3 v 10)informing the local ruling sprits of darkness that in the name of Jesus we are reclaiming God's rightful territory that He created and for which His Son was sacrificed. Looking unto Jesus as one rehab worker told me he did, "I am just a cheerleader running the sidelines of these beloved ones' lives cheering on Jesus working His wonders in more and more ways."
