Comfort His people,
Sheltered in temple;
Prepare for the move,
That God will approve.
Speak gently to them,
And do not condemn;
That the time is near,
For Christ to come here.
Hard labor is done,
When you see the Son;
Your wrongs have been paid,
No more be afraid.
Pardon for your sin,
Sin you discipline;
Both your mind and heart,
Having a fresh start.
For a voice cries out,
No longer a doubt;
And never ignored,
A path for the Lord.
A road to the gate,
To be nice and straight;
Ready for the day,
No more shades of gray.
And the grass dries up,
Sin drinks poisoned cup;
As flowers wither,
Burning forever.
