God’s Judgments

There seems to be plagues upon our nation,

As upon Egypt in the days of old.

God’s judgment is falling upon us,

Just as in His Word, we have been told.

All He asks is for us to follow Him

To willingly walk close by His side;

To show His love as we deal with others,

And in His great love, we are to abide.

Many are choosing their own selfish way;

Not allowing others to intervene;

Removing obstacles with their own hands,

So that the gods of this world can be seen.

Children are allowed to grow on their own,

Or lives are taken before they are born.

The many around us that is hurting,

Are ignored or met with great scorn.

Drugs are used as a way of escape

From the pleading of God’s tender call.

Pleasure is the only thing that is sought,

Though God reaches for them with His all.

No longer does God seem to be recognized

As the Creator, our returning King.

Fearlessly, He has been totally ignored,

Though we know, God’s judgment ‘twill bring.

But God always preserves a remnant;

If we look, we will find some there.

His remnant must band closely together,

As they bow humbly, He answers their prayer.

Then, the blessings instead of cursing,

Upon our great nation will surely roll;

Because, our God always keeps His own Word

Once again He’ll bring great joy to our soul.
