You are the elect race,
That God has shed His grace;
And as I understood,
In the royal priesthood.
Such a good foundation,
As a holy nation;
Ones who belong to God,
As you honor and laud.
The Lord has chosen you,
For your trust that is true;
From darkness you did right,
To purity and light.
At one time you were not,
But suddenly you sought;
God for mercy grace,
And for His sweet embrace.
Although here we sojourn,
We are subjects reborn;
Citizens of a place,
That God shines with His grace.
Until the time we go,
We must follow the flow;
Respect those elected,
That others selected.
Though we may not agree,
Authority we see;
They are still in control,
And has a certain goal.
We have no need to fear,
For God is always near;
And whoever commands,
They are in His hands.
