In Light of Recent Events

Do you believe the Word of God? Do you believe that God is a liar? If you believe God and His word then this is what is true concerning recent tragedies that we have experienced in this country.
God’s Word tells us something that the church and much of the world just really will not except as true. Yet, until we except truth we cannot win. We are told that:
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
What knowledge is God referring to? He is referring to the truth found in His Word. The Bible tells us:
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
2Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
We so often look at man and see what they do, yet we fail to go deeper and see the root of why they do these things. God’s Word is clear on the why part.
In 2 Timothy we read this: It really tells us where we are today in this world.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
If you read this you will find an interesting thing. God says that they that people that acknowledge truth can recover themselves out of the snare of the devil who takes them captive at will. Especially the unsaved have no knowledge of truth in this matter. Unfortunately also much of the church does not either. Why did Jesus come? He came to set at liberty those that were bound? What were they bound with? They were bound and in captivity to the devil taking them captive at will. They thing about demon spirits is that a person can have a demon spirit residing within them and it not manifest until a particular. The man that just killed the fireman in New York killed his grandmother over 17 years prior and went to prison. I have no idea how this person behaved in prison. I have to think that he must have been good to some degree or they would not have let him back into society. This demon within him probably never raised its head again all through the prison term. I can only speculate as I was not there. Yet, once he was released the spirit manifested once again. The spirit took him captive at will. Obviously this man entertained the demon as what was stated in the news was that it was all planned out.
In Timothy 2 and 3, we really see the state of society in these days. Doesn’t this pretty much some up what is happening today? I really like verse seven which says “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth”. Knowledge abounds these days. But this is natural worldly knowledge. Look how smart man has become. Look at all the things technology is producing. Intellectual knowledge is abounding yet spiritual knowledge seems very lacking. The Bible tells us that the Spirit gives life, not intellectual knowledge. There is great knowledge about everything that feeds the flesh but not what feeds the spirit of man.
Man is being destroyed because of his lack of spiritual knowledge. He seems to refuse to believe there is a devil and that our war is really against him. Instead man goes and kills people thinking the problems will go away. They will never go away killing mankind. God says we wrestle against principalities and powers, rulers of wickedness. The real enemy is the devil. He can easily take people captive at will especially since people seem to believe it is the person and not a spirit. The church for the most part has pushed this out the window. It has not stood up and fought with spiritual weapons of war. It has used carnal weapons to fight a spiritual battle. So of course we are not winning. Of course we are seeing innocent people slain in every direction.
Jesus said, “John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. This goes along with Timothy when it says in verse 25 & 26 that when we acknowledge truth and repent, that we can get out from under the snares of the devil and no longer be taken captive at his will. The truth sets us free! How long will it be before the church and mankind acknowledge the truth and be set free? We can go on and be spiritually blind and not rise up and deal with our enemy while we see so many innocent people perish, or we can stand up with spiritual weapons of war and put an end to much of the senseless bloodshed all over the world. The choice is ours. We will all answer to God according to the choices we make.
Colossians 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
