A Prayer For Guidance
How many days are left to me
I have no way of knowing,
But since my time is so unsure
Then where should I be going?
And what must my hands find to do,
And what must my lips speak?
How then should my mind be engaged,
What should my heart now seek?
Dear God, You are the only one,
Who knows just how to lead;
You are the guide that shows the way,
You're all the light I need.
So, show me now your plan for me
Direct my every way;
And, let me only do your will
Beginning with this day.
I thank you for each year that's gone
For every blessing sent;
Now let my time belong to you
Till all my days are spent.

This is a good heartcry. I like to see when people are truly slowing down their lives long enough to really seek God. I have written another similar seeking poem a few years ago when a Christian mentor of mine, and my Grandfather died within a few months. I recently wrote a very short poem looking back at my walk with God through the years, "I still Believe" Pete
