Satan The Devil Tests Jesus Christ The Beast And Rapture (Matthew, Mark & Luke)
The Bible Books Matthew, Mark and Luke explain Satan's Test And Temptation Of Jesus Christ. This article examines what Christians can learn and benefit from these test.
Let's Begin With Matthew 4:1
Matthew 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
Yes God The Holy Spirit Will "Turn His Servants (Constrain)" Over To Evil's Deep Dark Shadows (Wilderness) To Be Tried And Tested (John 4:24; Job 1:1-10; Job 2:1-10; Psalm 23:1-5; Psalm 23:1-5; Jonah 2:1-15; Exodus 20:21; Luke 23:43-46; Joel 2:1-10; Isaiah 45:6-7). A Christian Going Through Such Dark Trials Has Nothing To Fear. God The Spirit Is With Them (Matthew 14:22-33; Psalm 23:1-5; Hebrews 13:5-6).
And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
Fasting Is A Great Way To Get God's Attention To Your Concerns (Matthew 17:21).
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
A Primary Weapon Of Satan Is Doubt. If Satan Can Cause A Christian To Doubt God's Promises Or To Doubt Themself Satan Will Have Won A Major Victory (James 1:5-8; Genesis 3:1-15).
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Jesus Refuted Evil (Satan-Devil) With God's Word. Obedient Christians Must Submit To God's Word. This Holy Word Must Be The Authentic Word Of God. The Authorized King James Bible Is One Such Authentic Word Of God (Revelation 22:18-20). God's Word (The Holy Bible) Is A Major Weapon In Our Spiritual "Whole Armour Of God" (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
Christians Must Shun Satan When Satan Attempts To "Lift Up" Their Eagles.
Christians Must Also Avoid Becoming Self Righteous, Pious, Or Unreasonably "Holy".
The "Taking Up" In Matthew 4:5 Points To "Extremes" Particularly In A Religous Setting) (Ecclesiastes 7:16).
And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
In Matthew 4:6 Satan The Devil Quoted Psalm 91. Ironically This Psalm Deals With The Deep Dark Shadow Of God. This Is God Secret Or Hidden Place (Psalm 91:1-10; Psalm 18:11).
Satan Continue To Tempt Jesus To Act With Pride.
Satan Taunted, "You Are Not The Son Of God. If You Are The Son Of God Prove It. Throw Yourself Down From This "Holy Place" And God's Angels Will Save You. You Must Prove You Are God".
Christians Who Are Saved By The Precious Blood Of Jesus Don't Have To Prove Anything. We Are To Trust In God's Word In FAITH Submitting To His Will And Way. If Others Refuse To Submit To God This Way We Are To Shun Them. They Are Anti Christ. They Are Led By Satan (1 Peter 1:19; Psalm 72:14; 1 John 2:27; Hebrews 11:5-6; Proverbs 3:5-6; 1 John 2:18-22; 1 John 4:3; 2 John 1:7). Any Christian Who "Caters" To Appease Other Christians Is On A Spiritually Destructive Course (Psalm 146:2-10).
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Once Again Jesus Quoted The Holy Word Of God To Refute Satan (Psalm 119:105). All Christian Are Commanded By God To Study And Learn God's Holy Word. God's Holy Word Means Everlasting Life For Christians (2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 6:63).
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
Once Again Satan Attempted To "Take Jesus Up". Satan Attempts To "Elevate" Humans Against God. This Pride Leads To Spiritual Death (Genesis 3:1-15; Genesis 11:1-9; Proverbs 16:18).
And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Many Christians Have Betrayed Jesus Christ With Satanic Temptations. These Christians Have Rejected Godly Obedience For Worldly "Things" (1 John 2:15-17).
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
A Christian Must Never Tire From Rejecting All That Belongs To Satan. A Christian's Life Must Be Centered Around Obeying And Worshipping God. Satan Must Be Repeatedly Told To "Get Thee Hence (Get Out Of Your Life)".
Let's Study Luke 4:1
And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
A Christian Can Be "Full Of The Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost)" And Still Be Tested By Satan's Evil. Remember The Trials And Patience Of Job. He Was Righteous Yet God Still Allowed Satan To Bring Extreme Troubles Upon Job And His Family (Job 1:1-10; Job 2:1-10; James 5:11; Psalm 69:1-4, 11-14).
Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
The Holy Spirit Led Jesus In The Wildernes To Fast For Forty Days. Jesus Was Told By The Holy Spirit (God-John 4:24) Not To Eat Anything.
Christians Should Never Disobey The Word Of God. They Must Hear And Obey What The Holy Spirit Says (Revelation 2:7; John 4:24).
And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
This Scripture Prophetically Points To The Rapture. In A Moment Of Time Christians Will Be "Caught Away" In The Heavens To Always Be With Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:50-54; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17).
And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
Many Christians Do Not Realize That Satan The Devil Actually Rules This World (2 Corinthians 4:4; 1 John 2:15-17).
If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Christians Must Only Worship God. Any Other Worship, FANaticism, Or IDOLatry Is Of The Devil.
And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: And in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
Christians Should Not Tempt God. Christians Should Never Take For Granted Or Assume That "All Will Be Well" Because God Is Merciful. Christians Must Show Humble Respect And Thanks For All That God Does For Them.
Let's Study Mark 1:12-13
And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness. And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
The Bible Account Of Satan Testing Jesus In the Wilderness Is Prophetic. In Mark 1:13 We Notice The Beast And Satan The Dragon. You Can See These Evils In The Prophecy Book Of Revelation (Revelation 13:1-15; Revelation 12:1-16). We Also See The Hour Of Temptation Or "Hour Of Test" When Satan Possesses (Enters) The Man Of Sin Beast And Brings Great Tribulation On Planet Earth (Revelation 3:10; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17; Matthew 24:21; Revelation 2:22; Revelation 7:14; Luke 22:1-5; John 13:27-30).
There Will Be Christians And Non-Messianic Israelis Who Will Be "Left Behind" When The Rapture (The "Taking Up" Into God's Holy Temple-Heaven Of Bible Obeying Chrisitans-Matthew 25:1-12; Matthew 7:13-29) Occurs. Those "Left Behind" Will Experience The "Famine-No Bread Of Jesus Christ-John 6:1-54)" Of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ Is The Chief (Ruling) Stone Of God's Heavenly Kingdom (Ephesians 2:20; 1 Peter 2:6). The "Left Behind" Disobedient Ones Will Be Tested (Tempted) By Satan And His Beast During The Great Tribulation (Time Of Trouble) (Revelation 13:1-15).
Let's All Pray That All Christians Use Matthew Chapter 4, Luke Chapter 4 And Mark Chapter 1 to "Walk In The Spirit" And Enter Heaven At The Soon Coming Rapture.
