I will stand at my guard post,
High above in the tower;
Watching for the Lord of Host
Vigilant with each hour.
I will stand watch on the wall,
For seeing what He will say;
Careful enough not to fall,
With answers from whence I pray.
So what answers will I get,
Knowing I made a complaint;
Maybe angered that I fret;
Not saying it like a saint.
Then the Lord sent me His Word,
Write the vision making clear;
Everything that is heard,
With having nothing to fear.
The vision did not yet pass,
But it hurries towards your soul;
As sand in the hourglass,
In trying to reach their goal.
His answer never a lie,
Even if maybe delayed;
But not for us to ask why,
No need for to be afraid.
It will certainly go on,
But it will not be too late;
It could be in early dawn,
But unrevealed is the date.
