WISE MEN HURRY BACK TO THE EAST
First Verse and Chorus:
Wise Men hurry back to the East!
Don't go back to Herod's feast!
Hurry back another way-
Jesus is safe, asleep on the hay.
Angels guard o'er Jesus' bed.
Herod's men get lost instead.
Jesus later must suffer and die
To take us home with Him on high.
Herod look in the ritziest Inn
To find the King, our Saviour from sin.
You'd never think that a stable small
Could hold our King,the Lord of all.
Mary and Joseph, hurry away!
Go to Egypt, it's such a long way.
Go by donkey and Herod won't know
The Lord of all would travel so.
