“I GIVE YOU FLOWERS...”
I said to myself “it’s Christmas, a time set aside for gift giving—“
But deep inside was the gnawing, “Christmas is every day that we are living.”
So what could I do for you this Christmas? What, in celebration, of this glorious season?
And what to do to make a difference, beyond all rhyme and reason?
It is asked, “What do you get someone, who seems to have everything?”
What can you really do for them? What, to make their hearts sing—
Beyond the ordinary, of what they’d ever think to do,
So with that in mind, here’s my Christmas gift to you.
I give you flowers, so that you can give away…
To all of our loved ones and friends asleep, in the cemetery this Christmas day.
To say to them, “You’re not forgotten, and loved beyond what words can say—
Theses flowers are only representative of, missing you this Christmas day.”
Yes, I give you flowers, with sincerity and love,
Reminisce of the greatest gift, sent from heaven above.
On that very first Christmas Day, God’s only begotten’
So in our hearts we know, our loved ones are never forgotten.
MERRY CHISTMAS, 2012
