Must be God in one little "please"
for we all should be humble.
Set their heart to calm and ease;
don't walk away and mumble.
Must be God in "forgive me,"
when He shows our wrong.
If we love, make that plea,
to those we belong.
Even God is in "okay",
a word of simple submission.
If you're weak you may pray;
you have God's permission.
Then God is there in, "I forgive,"
so sing it like a song.
Help them move on to live;
please forget their wrong.
God is Love in, "I love you,"
rich as a bloody cross.
Praise the Lord and be as true;
your pride will pay the cost.
Must be God when we repent
as He surely grants.
A sure miracle, heaven-sent
in changing our spiritual stance.
Must be God when these are done,
not just simply said.
Must be like His holy Son
risen from the dead.
Must be God in His children;
it's how they love their Father.
In this life they are pilgrims,
just like their holy Brother.
This is not the way of men,
who worship their small pride.
This is God forgiving sin,
working on the inside.
When they see these works of faith,
in patience they are wrought,
tell them this is His good Grace,
stating, "Must be God."
My adopted philosophy, because someone will blow it, someone must forgive. If we won't we say we're greater than the Lord.
From one: "Please, forgive me."
From the other: "Okay, I forgive. I love you."
