Abide by what the elders say,
Listen to them as you obey;
Give them dignity and respect,
As what they say do not reject.
So you must also serve others,
Serving them as older brothers;
God opposes an attitude,
That is both arrogant and rude.
But rather be humbled instead,
Always happy and not to dread;
So when the time becomes just right,
God will honor you in the light.
Give God all your anxiety,
And He will give you dignity;
That is because He cares for you,
And wants to be helping you through.
Please keep your mind clear and alert,
So you will be able to avert;
Satan coming to devour,
Not knowing the day or hour.
Hear the roars when he will stalk,
Purring with a little sweet talk;
But be firm in faith to resist,
Knowing his temptations exist.
Other believers have the same,
Situation who plays his game;
And now they were caught in a snare,
And have been taken to his lair.
