Just what should we do,
When you see the poor;
Think if it were you,
Would you feel secure?
Be good unto them,
Lend them what they need;
Try not to condemn
But plant a new seed.
Hard hearted be not,
Nor to be stingy;
Find what they have sought,
Change what looks dingy.
Think not worthless views,
Or anything bad;
Nothing to abuse,
Or that can make sad.
You will see always,
Those lesser than you;
As they walk their maze,
Hoping for some stew.
Do not be greedy,
As you walk each day;
Think of those needy,
Who have gone astray.
Show them what is right,
And which way to go;
Guide them to the light,
Where the blessings flow.
