Ho-Ho-Ho! Turn up your hearing aids. It is not Ho-Ho-Ho-Santa, you hear. It’s Ho-Ho-Ho-Hosanna, Mary’s song of praise and worship to her Lord. Sing along, in adoration and awe.
“And Mary said: ‘My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant (Luke 1:46-48a NIV).”
In humility, Mary had submitted to God. “I am the Lord’s servant, Mary answered. May it be to me as you have said (Luke 1:38a NIV).” Sing it out. Ho-Ho-Ho-Hosanna!
