Simply giving thanks for the simple things…and oh, not so simple
Thanks for my little toe (when I broke it, I realized its worth) and the fingers on my hand
Thanks for the ability to joke, the joy in so doing, happiness; peace and laughter
Thanks for sight and my taste buds too, the ability to feel, touch and smell
I just want to thank you for the fact that I can smile
Some can not, because of a nerve problem, emotional or psychological disturbance
I slight them not and the situation, only appreciating the fact that….. I can
Thanks that I have food and can swallow by myself, down and digest my own food…
Some are strapped to tubes and machines; some need therapy and counseling to down their meals
I appreciate you and ask that you remember them, healing and sending a touch of mercy
Grateful that I can go to use the toilet whenever I feel like going with no pain in so doing, others need medication or equipment to move their bowels
I appreciate Lord that I can eat what I like and when I like, not being overly cautious of certain contents and food ingredients for the fear of a break-out or reaction due to allergy
Nor have I to worry about food for the morrow because I have an assurance from you as provider
I continually give thanks despite my less than perfect nature, you continue to provide – Jehovah Jireh
For a sound health must I not forget to give thanks -JEHOVAH RAPHAEL, for the immune system and all
Thanks for survival, through the years, through thick and thin ……deeply etched pain that your soothing balm alone, helps to remember less and often forgive; moving on, stronger and wiser for it
Thanks for going out and coming in, many do and never reach their destinations because of satan’s nefarious manipulations.
Thanks for the mind of the writer in me, for your inspirational word flow
Thanks for this medium and the ability to reach and touch souls; so many, so far away
Praying for those in the field on missions for you, weathering the many environmental storms and odds, just to take your word selflessly to the ENDS OF THE EARTH, may they never lack resource, resilience, provisions and protection.
……most importantly, may their strength and faith never wear thin to secure for them their place in Heaven.
