It was a sing along tune. “You must have been a beautiful baby.” I wish I could in all honesty say that all babies are beautiful. I know they are all precious and sweet, but admit it, not all are beautiful.
A friend recently posted her teenage daughter’s picture on facebook, for her birthday. I commented that her daughter, Melissa Taylor was one of the most beautiful baby girls that I had ever seen. I said what I meant and meant what I said. Was Jesus beautiful?
“For [the Servant of God] grew up before him like a tender plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He has no form or comeliness [royal, kingly pomp], that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire Him (Isaiah 53:3 Amplified Bible).” Yet, a babe to behold!
