Ever had one of those days when no matter what you do you just know that it’s not going to go right! I know it’s not something a ‘faith filled Christian’ is supposed to say, but these things happen!
The car breaks down, a leak in the house plumbing that causes thousands of dollars of damage (those two came to over four thousand between them!) or worse still the computer decides it’s had enough and doesn’t work anymore. For that the computer geek told me “don’t even go there, just buy a new one!”
In times past I would have been right in saying it was a virus or some malicious hacker, but not this time. This time it was plain and simple. I think I’ve worn the screen out! After all the laptop is four years old!
And dead as a dodo, that extinct marsupial from Australia!
Computers are great tools, when they work, but they are prone to some things of which the owner is often unaware, but needs to take care not to get into the situation.
They’re kind of like the Christian really. We are prone to things that we have to be careful about, and there is a hacker who is trying to plant a virus of some kind into our spiritual lives.
Keeping our antivirus software up to date on our computers is vital. Making sure we don’t inadvertently download viruses is also vital, but the same goes for our spiritual lives.
For the Christian, God in his wisdom and love has provided an antivirus programme that when we use it stops all viruses dead, (not just all known ones but ALL) and also gives us a line of communication that no hacker can access!
The anti virus software is His word, and the encryption programme that can’t be broken is prayer! The Hacker can’t stand it and will do everything in his power to stop us using it. SO WHAT ARE WE WATING FOR?
I just wish protecting my computer was so easy!
