Thought for Today: Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So, don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Driving home in the pouring rain, I could hardly see the road in front of me! It had been a long day and with each falling raindrop I was reminded of my helplessness.
"Lord, I just don’t know if I can keep doing this, I told Him. I don’t know how to find time to fit everything into my schedule. Things are really hard. I know that You are there but things feel almost impossible!"
I stood broken before the Lord. It made me understand my vulnerable state and that I must lean on Him at all times. I understood that when I fail to lean on Him, I cannot see where I am going. I feel lost and have to pull over. I know I need to get reconnected to God.
Humbled, God showed me that He was the windshield wipers in our rainy lives. If we walk with Him, problems will pour upon us at times, and when we struggle to see, He will clear life’s windshield so we can travel on our way!
PRAYER: Help us when life’s problems seem to pour upon our lives. Help us to remember that You are in control. Just like the rain, the problems will fade in time, and You will bring Your sweet sunshine. Amen.
