Matthew 17 verse 20: “Because of your little faith,” He told them. “For I assure you if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
In this scripture He tells us that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed nothing will be impossible for you. If you have ever seen a mustard seed, you know that is tiny. Even taking a breath around it could blow it away. With that small amount of faith you can tell that sickness to go away and it must go. You can tell that demon that is attacking you and your family to leave and he must flee. With that tiny amount of faith you could tell that tornado that is threatening you and your families to go back up in the clouds and it will. You could ask or do anything in His will and it shall be done. Think about that for a minute, anything in God’s will, according to His word it shall be done.
How do we increase our faith to this amount and more? It is so very easy and simple, just spend time in prayer with the Lord. Fast as he leads you to and this small amount of faith will no longer seem so big.
Mathew 17 verse 21: However this kind does not come except by prayer and fasting.
We make time in our lives to relax, to watch television, to go to the gym or shopping. We make time to spend with our families, and yes we set aside time to go to church to join in fellowship and hear the word of God. We make time for all these things yet we don’t seem to make time to spend with Him. God loved us so much that he gave his only Son to die for our sins and all He ever asked us to do is come to him and spend some time in prayer.
Make time for the Lord, commune with him daily. Teach your children to set aside time for prayer. Soon you will know His plan for your life and will see that nothing is impossible through our Heavenly Father.
