Hebrews 6 verses 1-3
Therefore, leaving the elementary message about the Messiah, let us go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, faith in God, teaching about ritual washings, laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And we will do this if God permits.
Just as we expect our children to grow, the Lord expects us to grow. When we first come to the Lord and ask forgiveness of our sins, accepting Jesus as our personal savior we are as a child. The Holy Spirit is sent to guide us and give us the understanding of His word. We begin to grow and as we grow, just like children we make mistakes, and he corrects us and guides us. As we mature our faith in God becomes strong. We teach others about His word, as He wills we lay hands on others in prayer for their needs. This is where we should strive to be in our walk with our Heavenly Father.
Hebrews 6 verses 4-6
For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, became companions with the Holy Spirit, tasted Godís good word and the powers of the coming age. And who have fallen away, because, to their own harm, they are recrucifying the Son of God and holding Him up to contempt.
His word is telling us to go onto maturity, to accept his gifts, to have the Holy Spirit in every aspect of your life, living in Godís will, then it would be impossible to repent because there would be nothing to ask forgiveness for. When you follow the ways of the world you are crucifying Jesus Christ our Savior all over again.
Ask yourself, where are you and then make that commitment to walk with the spirit living in Godís will for your life.
