Evaluate your expectancy level
Many people do not realize that their expectancy level directly correlates to what they believe is the truth. Personal examination and reflection is a viable tool to changing your life's outcomes.
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; Ecclesiastes says. There is a time in our life where we have to kill off those things that are not pleasing to God in our lives. But rest assured that if you are killing off a part of your flesh, God is waiting there to fill the void, to replace it with something better. But you must be in always remain in a place of expectancy. Your state of expectancy with cause to always be in a state of awareness. I can’t tell the countless times that I have missed out on what God was trying to do in my life. I missed out only because I didn’t see what He was doing until it was too late because of my unbelief and lack of trust in Him. My apostle refers to them as “windows of opportunities”. There are some times that I am given another chance but, then they are other times, where I just missed it altogether. Why? Did I really think that God would steer me in the wrong direction? Well - Praise God that He hasn’t given up on me!
God doesn’t ask for much in respect to what He has already given to you. On the day that you were born – He gave you life; and on the day that you were saved – came the gift of eternal life. He promises to supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory – in return He asks you to accept Him as a loving Father. He promises to watch over and protect you – in return He asks you to trust Him as your shepherd. He promises to never leave or forsake you; in return He asks you to love him. He promises to complete the work that He began in you and in return, He asks you to believe that He is your creator; and He knows what is best for you. And still yet, we still have those moments where we stop and try to figure Him out. If I had to sum it up in a few words – it would be accept Him, trust Him, love Him and believe in Him. I would say that that just about says it all!!!
God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Num 23:19
