Two things you must make sure you don’t lose:
Appetite and Temper.
If you lose your appetite, you may die of hunger;
If you lose your temper, you may die of anger.
And if you meet a ‘mindless’ person you just know the person lost his temper and started giving away pieces of his mind. He never realised that he was depleting his mind.
If you are married to the following people, you are so blessed you should cling to them with all your grip and heart:
Ruth: Without her, you will be ruthless;
Mercy: Without her, you will be merciless;
Faith: Without her you will not please God—you will be faithless.
The Bible says that above all else, we should guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from it (Proverbs 4:23). See also Philippians 4:7.
Apart from guarding our hearts because out of it are issues of life (KJV), we should also guard it so that it is not stolen. People or things can steal your heart and when this happens, you will be “heartless”. Not good!
That was on a lighter note
When one speaks, there are potentially two meanings in what one says. First is what the speaker meant; second is what the listener makes out of what he hears—therefore many times what you say is not what is heard. This is why feedback is important.
