It's no secret, Father, that before I knew You
I didn't have any hope.
Well, I had hope in love, that I would find it one day
but all my failures in relationships left me feeling pretty hopeless.
The only love I knew was love that revolved around me and things my selfishness wanted.
I'm still amazed at how quickly You answered me.
My desperation was pretty obvious.
Thank You for Your love.
It is teaching me how to rely on You for all my needs.
As I rest in your love each day, You teach me something new.
Thank You for allowing me to become Your child
through knowing Jesus.
Thank You for allowing me to share in His inheritance.
I was drowning in a world of darkness. I felt doomed and helpless.
But You saved me from Satan's kingdom.
I didn't think I would ever have a different life.
You heard my cries, and I now know You
could feel my agony.
Thank You for bringing me into Your eternal kingdom and for giving me happiness.
I knew happiness but it was fleeting.
It seemed to come and go.
Thank You for teaching me how to help it stay.
Thank You for staying after all times I've looked away.
Thank You for purchasing my freedom from sin and judgement with Your blood.
And thank You for forgiving my sin.
Each of these are benefits I'm grateful for each day.
You touch me in ways that help me be a better person.
I was looking for this in others.
I was looking in the wrong places.
But You're right here, for me.
For all who believe in You.
Your love strengthens me and I'm able to hold tight
to what my heart believes to be true.
You've done and continue to do so much for me.
It doesn't matter where I am.
I do miss my family, friends and my dog.
I've been praying a bunch, and I've asked for so much .
I know, You're getting it all ready for me:)
I'm happy, Father, wherever You lead me
because I know
You're right there beside me and I rest in Your love.
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is, and is to come.
