When I say comfort is no longer a zone I mean that to be truly comfortable the believer need only make sure to be in the Holy Sprit (referred to by Jesus as the Comforter) at any given moment, and if there is movement then as much as possible that movement needs to be led of the same Spirit or consistent and at peace with the Spirit. Since the Holy Spirit is a person then being in the Spirit simply means resting in relationship with Him which is communion with Him. Even the sound of that "rest" sounds kind of comfortable. So I don't have to try to maintain a certain circumstance or set of circumstances to feel safe or comfortable because I am actually indwelt and accompanied by the one who comforts and IS comfort itself. The Comforter will never lead me into anything that He and I can't handle "comfortably." This is the only attitude we can assume that will allow us to expand our tent pegs so to speak and grow at the rate God desires for us to grow, age notwithstanding.
