A Slap
If someone slaps your right cheek,
Let him slap your left cheek, too-
Don’t fight an evil person-
Don’t repay those who hurt you.
Your Father Who is perfect
Gives all people sun and rain-
He says you must be like Him
And love those who cause you pain.
He’s the One Who’ll act for you-
He’s the One Who will repay-
If someone slaps your right cheek,
Turn your other cheek their way.
