Beware of doubtful prayers

Wonder why many in the world are still not wise?

The Bible gives us a wonderful answer for why many are still lacking this blessed virtue of wisdom which is so easily available.

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." James 1:5-8 (New King James Version)

Wisdom is available and can be obtained easily by doubtless asking, however as sure as we may be in everything we do in life, the devil sneaks in with his recipe of doubt and spoils our situations, relationships and other matters in life.

Remember how the devil approached Eve in the garden of Eden with this question...

“Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” (Genesis 3:1)

Similarly with us too, the devil fills us with doubt especially in our spiritual life and keeps us away from God's blessedness.

It is said that once Billy Graham was approached by a confident atheist asking him about the authenticity of the Bible, even though Billy Graham gave an affirmative answer keeping his faith in the Lord, a doubt did arise in his mind and he was much disturbed, however later he went to a remote place and prayed to the Lord and said, "Lord I believe in Your Word by faith, and will henceforth never doubt Your Word." and peace returned to his soul and he preached this Word boldly hence after.

God wants to give us much, however the wall of doubt has to be broken forever to let the blessedness of God to flow in our lives.

Let's not be like the waves of the sea tossed by the winds, however let's be as firm as a rock and our Lord is, The Rock of ages at all times.

God Bless,

Abraham
