When we consider the laws of the Lord on which was based the foundation of the existence of mankind and how today the world/mankind is not being governed by the laws of God rather by the laws of the devil.
God Who intended that His house be called a house of prayer is surely displeased with seeing the world as a marketplace for sin.
Sin has so blinded the eyes of the people that they cannot see anything good in virtuous acts or miracles from the Lord, rather are pressing on in finding faults in everything.
Even Jesus had to face this adverse situation...
"Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes.....Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath."” John 19:14-16 (NKJV)
what can now be done? how could we really change the world or at least our city and community? how could we draw people near to God and away from sin?
The answer is a revival through the Holy Spirit.
I was reading about the Welsh revival of 1904 (http://www.welshrevival.com/) and through various other sources and was really encouraged to see the mighty move of the Holy Spirit in Wales.
God can do the same in our community, country, church, family & in us.
What is needed is fervent & earnest prayer for the visitation of the Holy Spirit.
History has seen great revivals in China, South America, Wales and many other places where the people of God decided to pray and call upon the Lord for their nation.
Can we too do this? Can we too decide to pray?
Instead of cursing the pitiable condition of the world today, let's resolve to pray and let's pray and we will surely see the mighty hand of God changing lives for His glory.
