( A Personal Perspective)
Night before all Saintís Day we know
Tricks or treats we say as we go
To believe itís innocents a deception
An invitation to an evil reception.
Pagan holiday to celebrate the time
Life and death ghosts to the sublime
A time the dead walked among living
Fear and superstition now a misgiving.
The unnatural world of the now dead
Walking among the living to be fed
The only way to get them to retreat
Was by offering them a kind treat.
Demons and evil spirits play the day
Scary masks and costumes our way
Being innocently indoctrinated too
Paying homage to the evil shrew.
So be quick to dress and play the part
Denial of an evil dimension a start
Open the door and give them a treat
The soul of man falls in sad defeat.
