Dear God Tracker
God-Tracking Is a Personal Walk With the Almighty
Having recently completed as study on the life of Abraham at our church we discovered that Abram (as he was first called) came from a pagan background family who worshipped the Chaldean moon-god, Nanna. They were pantheists with a hierarchy of deities beginning with An, the god of heaven and earth. All this meant that Abram had an understanding of the concept of a supreme being. When he arrived in Canaan he discovered that the Canaanites’ supreme god was called El, who he probably understood to be equivalent to his god, An. However, in Genesis 17 we read that the one and only true God appears to Abram and makes a covenant with him. But notice the name that God gives to Abram in Genesis 17:1 “I am God Almighty.” In Hebrew this name is El-Shaddai. God clearly distinguishes himself from all other gods as the one and only Almighty God.
In comparison to this, last night I was reading Moses’ story in Exodus. In Chapter 3 verse 14 God gives his name to Moses as “I AM”. I AM is a translation of the name Yahweh ( or Jehovah), which is God’s most unique, self-sufficient and personal name. And then in Exodus 6:3 we read, “And I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty. But I was not known to them by the name JEHOVAH,” (MKJV). Notice here how El-Shaddai of Abraham becomes Yahweh to Moses. God was promising to deliver the Israelites from the hand of their oppressor by his outstretched arm. The Lord God Almighty just got personal!
By the Holy Spirit the Apostle Paul writes, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” The Lord Almighty is the Creator of the Universe and the only One true God and yet, as he revealed to Moses and to Paul that his mighty arm is strong and gentle enough to save us from our sins and as well as our difficulties. El-Shaddai is your Yahweh. He is awesome in power and might yet caring and loving. He is able to call you and watch over you according to his promises in Christ and he is able to rescue you from your oppressions, difficulties and sorrows. Simply call on his name today. Give your life to him through Jesus Christ and allow him to be your personal Lord and Saviour.

I Am An "Everyone" Lord, And I Call On Your Name
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
"Dear God Almighty thank you that you revealed yourself to me through Jesus Christ. Today I acknowledge him as my own personal Lord and Saviour. Thank you brining your promises to me through Christ. I repent of trying to control my own life and circumstances and, with your Spirit in me, I know that you have become my source and resource. So I call on you in all that I'm going through and trust that you will personally save me from my enemies and my difficulties just as you have saved my soul from sin. I am an "everyone" Lord, and I call on your name. Amen"
